I am a happily married mother of three from a small town in
Kansas who was unexpectantly granted a gift of writing and song
about 4 years ago...just three years after I began singing at my
church. God has accomplished in me, what I considered
impossible---which is, the courage to sing for audiences, the
ability to write and play my music even though I don't know how
to play the piano and have no formal music education, the
courage to speak the thoughts He has placed on my heart through
His Word and Spirit, and the strength to keep trying...against
all the odds.
Never give up on what you believe God is calling you to do. Walk
on through the tough times…when you feel you have no
support….when you feel you are financially unable…when you feel
alone in your beliefs…when you feel that God is silent.
Once, God was silent for three long days. Perfectly silent. The
tomb was quiet. There were no trumpets or harps or lyres or
voices singing songs of gladness or victory. In fact, things
looked pretty bad. It appeared as though God had failed. Still,
there was a plan…a plan that God knew all along.
Trust Him to know the plan He has for your life. Trust Him
enough to hold your head up high and walk through persecution,
just like Jesus did. Trust Him to do what is best for you…not
the easiest. When things look hopeless, or uncertain, and you
are feeling that there couldn’t possibly be a good answer in
sight, remember the silence of the tomb, and then the glorious
victory that followed. There was, indeed, a plan! Walk on
towards the prize of eternal life.
God bless you all. ~ Elizabeth
